Zone 1 - The Forest Experimental Teambuilding Zone
Low Rope Obstacle Challenge -
This sub-zone comprises 5 to 6 obstacles which each team needs to overcome while elevated a meter off the ground. Teams compete against the clock working around the weakest link using communication, interdependence and team work to achieve a common objective.
Forest Chain Reaction -
A team is linked together and remains linked throughout the challenge. Teams are required to overcome a number of tasks using strengths and communications as a means to an end.
Elevated Obstacle Wall Traverse -
This challenge comprises 4-5 elevated obstacles which need to be overcome. Teams are to strategise, plan the action and action the plan as a complete unit assisting and encouraging the team members as they strive for personal gain as well as group gain.
Hanging About -
This comprises 5 elevated obstacles of varying degrees of difficulty where teams challenge themselves and the clock with team member motivational encouragement the order of the day.
Elevated Pole Traverse -
This is a high risk elevated challenge where teams are to manage their own risk through problem solving and strategic thinking. Communications, interdependence and creativity is the key to success.
Scaling New Heights -
Teams aspire to being the best by climbing a vertical wall with grips with a pathfinder setting the route which is most appropriate to the group. Challenge is individual and against the clock.
Zone 2 - Recreational Teambuilding Zone
Crossing Sacred Ground -
Teams are issued with a variety of materials required to overcome a specific mission. This goal is to traverse the 'sacred ground' without any human contact with the ground. Detailed planning and lateral thinking is essential for the co-operative success of this challenge.
Maypoles -
The maypoles challenge requires teams to co-operatively achieve a common objective while guiding the maypole around an octagon, overcoming certain tasks en route.
Bridge Building -
Teams are required to use innovative thinking to construct a bridge which will carry each and every team member to a new challenge.
Blindfold Shapes -
Teams are required to construct a variety of shapes using ropes, planning while sighted, actioned while blindfolded. Teams need to communicate and make consensus decisions in completing the tasks at hand.
Boere Olympics -
A variety of fun activities of 'boere' origin to act as an icebreaker for groups prior to more serious tasks and challenges.
Zone 3 - The 'Pole-to-Pole' Zone
Bride Pier Obstacle Challenge -
Teams are rquired to traverse a given area using material provided and 3 strategically placed pyramids as a means to traverse. Creative problem solving, communication and an interdependent approach is necessary for successful completion.
The Triangular Series Challenge -
This challenge comprises a number of carefully constructed rope, cable and pyramid based obstacles which each team needs to overcome without making contact with the ground. Teamwork is of vital importance to this challenge.
The "Tyresome" Pole -
Teams are allocated tyres, supports and a pole with which to achieve a common goal as a unit. Flexibility and interdependence in achieving this common goal is essential as a team.
Fireman's Fall -
This challenge includes trust amongst participants which could be applicable in life-and-death situations.
Seeing the Gap and Going for it -
This challenge comprises a mental and physical provocation. The challenge is simple, the execution much more difficult.
The Long Shuffle -
This challenge will keep you guessing.
Zone 4 - The Car Park Mobile Challenge
The Vehicle Obstacle Challenge -
This challenge comprises the use of safari vehicles where teams compete against each other while overcoming specific tasks and obstacles en route. Co-ordinated teamwork, planning and communication are essential to the success of the challenge.
The Quad Bike Obstacle Team Challenge -
This challenge comprises an obstacle course using the 4-wheelers as a means to an end. The course is challenging with communication and interdependence essential to success. The event is done in a relay fashion with each team member having the opportunity to play a part in each teams success.
